Promoting Environmentally Sound Mineral Exploration and Mining

 

The predominant voice of mineral exploration, Association for Mineral Exploration British Columbia promotes a healthy and sustainable environment for its 5,000+ members. Established in 1912, AME BC upholds an extensive and distinguished history of effectively representing the mining exploration sector. Along the way of successful representation, the focus is to enhance investment by maintaining BC’s competitive advantage in securities regulation, taxation and flow through share programs.

Promotion of investment in the mineral and oil & gas development in BC is the goal as AME BC plays a keyrole of importance in geoscience.  Initiated by AME BC and with support by government, a geoscience research centre was established to promote investment in resource exploration and development in British Columbia. AME BC is also expecting to require 81,000 additional workers in the next 10 years as a result creating an opportunity for prospective workers in the mineral sector. The Association focuses on issues, challenges and opportunities to enhance understanding and develop relationships between the members of AME BC.

AME BC ‘s objective is to maintain and improve access to land base by demonstrating and gaining credibility for BC’s mineral exploration sector.
