Exploring and Developing the Sierra Madre Occidental Mountains in Mexico
Golden Goliath Resources Ltd. is a junior exploration company with a focus for exploring and developing the Sierra Madre Occidental Mountains in Mexico – a geographical location that has become a popular destination in the search for precious metals. The company controls a historic mining camp called Uruachic that lies in the centre of several other mining discoveries. The district covers an area of 15 by 25 km and has had a long history of producing gold and silver for the locals of Uruachic. The town itself has been mining since 1776 when two Spanish explorers founded the settlement.
Not only has Golden Goliath profited from the mines, but local businesses have also benefited from the mining projects. Miners and developers have generated business for restaurants and markets to housing. Many locals are also employed by Golden Goliath because they are familiar with the terrain and history of the land.
Apart from the Uruachic camp, the company owns two other properties: a silver camp in La Cruz and Chimizal, a lead, zinc, and silver camp.
