The Largest Western-Based Tungsten Mining Company
North American Tungsten Corporation Ltd. is the largest Western-based tungsten mining company in the world apart from China, who is the leading producer of tungsten. Next to diamonds, tungsten is the hardest mineral, has the highest melting point, and has a higher density than lead and uranium. Unlike lead, tungsten is non-toxic and does not decompose and become an alternative for lead.
These unique properties make tungsten very useful for industrial applications such as for heavy machinery, jet turbine engines, and sporting equipment. Tungsten is best known for its use as filament in light bulbs.
NATC currently has two projects in production which are both located near the Yukon border. The first one is the Cantung Mine that is a primary producer of tungsten concentrate and the second site is a Mactung deposit.
